As I was leaving school on friday night, Beatrice handed me a shoebox with this gorgeous parakeet in it, and asked if I could find a home for it. I said I didn't know, ect, and she turned around, got in her car and drove off with me a new bird owner. As soon as I brought the bird home, our cat Christina began to stalk it. Our "special" cat, Daniel, didn't even know that there was a bird in the house because he is retarded. I kept the bird in the guest room and spent all day saturday trying to find someone to take the bird. Jessica finally agreed to take it, I sent her this picture of the bird, and saturday afternoon I went to check on the bird and it was dead as a doorknob. So that was my fun weekend.

Oh my! Do you know what happened??? Born Birdie!! It must have been his fate...
yes, and we were actually excited to get the bird. Funny thing is I turned down the offer at first...then I told Brad about it the next day and he said "you know we will never turn down any animal in need of a home"...so the fate was sealed that we will now own a bird, even tho Noelle's bird is dead....now we have the thought of a new bird in our home just looming over our heads and hearts! HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH so we'll probably get one some time. HAAAA
Don't feel bad Noelle, there was nothing you could do! You did your best! Birds have small hearts and can't take change easily...if anything, blame Beatrice for being an animal abuser and leaving the poor bird in her car for 5 hours in the cold in a cardboard BOX before she abandoned it into your hands!!
Yes, I would say also that the being in a cold box for 5 hours in a car in the freezing cold would do him in.
he froze to death and died of panic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah, I feel very sorry for the poor bird. And it wasn't an ugly wild bird. He was very pretty. The girls loved him, and when I told them that the bird died, and that I chucked it into the creek behind our house, they burst into tears. They wanted to give it a funeral and bury it in the dirt. I told them that some cat out there got a nice dinner!
aww, Abby would have cried too
when you told your girls, did you word it that you "chucked it into the creek"???????? HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA
I think that would make any child cry...
Aww Poor Bird!
