In a moment of boredom at hair school, my friend Mariam asked me to highlight her hair. I seized the moment despite the fact that I have not taken the color class, nor practiced on a mannequin. Mariam said that she believed in me. Beth showed me how to do the first one, and I put in foil highlights that she said were "perfect". I knew I would love color, and I am a natural. The haircutting, however, will take time to perfect.
