The start of a new era...

This is september now, and marks the end of Caden month. Did you know that I have two other children? Hahaha. I will dispense with the small talk and get on to my first day at school. I was very nervous. I was afraid that Charlie would forget to come home and watch the kids, but he did come home, an hour early. He announced that he needed to take the kids with him to Gainseville to turn on an alarm. I was very alarmed at this news.(pun intended) The girls had a lot of homework to do and he was dragging them off to work. It wasn't a good start. Calysta had a science test to study for and Candace failed her first spelling test and needed help studying for the next one! So I kissed my babies goodbye and waved as they drove away with Charlie.(I almost cried) I went to school and they helped me clock in. My instructor is a lady named Beth who reminds me of my sister Bethany. She is pleasant. There are about a dozen other girls who go to school at night. I am the newbie along with an older hispanic lady named Myriam. I am glad she is there, cause everyone else is very young and they seem to have attitudes.(Maybe it's just cause I am not 18) I am there to learn and that is it. To make a long story short, we spent an hour pouring over chapter 5 of the Milady textbook on germs and sanitation procedures. Then an hour filling in the workbook that comes with it. It was extremely boring and I hate the bright florescent lights in the classroom. The fun part came when we received our first mannequin head. Her name is Sam. We took her and set her up on the bar and learned how to part the hair in 3, 5, and then 9 sections. I accidentally sprayed water everywhere when I was wetting Sams hair in the sink. I had turned the water on full blast before pointing the nozzle down into the sink. Sam wouldn't be still while I was parting her hair and I threatened to take her out back and swing her around. Well, the parts had to be perfect, but I got it after one try. At the end of the night we all had rotating chores to do. I had to sweep the classroom and wipe the windows. Then I clocked out and came home. The whole day felt very weird. I will have to get used to it. When I got home, Charlie had taken the kids out for pizza, but he made sure that they bathed, brushed their teeth, and did their homework. He promised that he would not usually have to take them out to work. My kitchen was immaculate and he even lined up their uniforms for the morning and put their bowls on the table for breakfast. I guess he is not in the doghouse. My mannequin head is pictured here. More later!

YEAHHHHH! What a satisfying bit of information!! I'm so glad you had a good first day...and I'm totally impressed/shocked at Charlie's organizational abilities (no offense!)! HAHA
I love Sam, she may be a pain, but she's just gearing you up for the ones that actually talk back.

18-year-olds are so sassy..HAHAHAHAH Think back and we were all like that once upon a time. Glad you are there to learn and become a professional!
